Tickets to the Rise2022 Conference in Melbourne on Tuesday May 24 are now on sale.
Former Socceroo and human rights activist Craig Foster, youth advocate and the face of Australian charity Foster Care Australia, Jules Allen, will headline the Rise2022 Conference to be held in Melbourne on Tuesday May 24.
The keynote speakers will be joined by more than 20 champions of real estate and property management exploring the issues of resilience, performance, mental wellness, surviving Covid and lockdowns and ways to manage the constant juggle of work, family, career success and personal fulfilment.
The founder of the Rise Initiative, Chris Hanley, said the Rise2022 Conference would provide a new perspective on performance in real estate and property management – one that is human-focused and connected, rather than transactional and driven by hustle.
“Covid and lockdowns taught us the importance of relationships and connection, and how our mental wellness is affected when we have that taken away from us and agents and property managers have carried a heavy load over the past two years,” Chris said.
“But even before Covid, our industry was in crisis with record levels of stress, anxiety and mental illness so we are on the precipice of something important and powerful here. There is no going back to normal now because normal was the problem. We need to create a new way to measure and manage performance in real estate that is based on relationships rather than transactions, self-awareness rather than ego, and connection to our communities rather than idolising real estate rockstars.”
Driving this conversation will be former Socceroo and SBS broadcaster Craig Foster (AM) who is also an ambassador for social programs including The Big Issue and Amnesty International, a member of the Australian Multicultural Council and Advisory Council member of the Australian Human Rights Institute. In 2018, Craig began a Herculean fight to bring home Hakeem al-Araibi, a promising young soccer player with refugee status in Australia, who had been arrested while on his honeymoon in Thailand facing up to ten years in jail in Bahrain for a crime he did not commit. Craig will talk about the importance of standing up for what’s right – even when it is for someone you have never met.
Craig is joined by inspirational activist Jules Allen, who has worked tirelessly within Australia and internationally for foster care reform and with victims of gross human rights violations.
Known for her captivating, humorous and candid presence, Jules will be talking about the weakness in the concept of resilience and the flaw in it being perceived as the backbone to our success.
Across the day will be inspirational moments of wisdom and panel discussions from real estate boldest thinkers including Leanne Pilkington, Dan White, Nathan Casserly, Carla Fetter, Piers van Hamburg, Lisette Schults-Rand, Shane Hicks, Sunil Kumar, Sadhana Smiles and many more.
“At Rise Conferences we examine the connections between performance, mental wellness and motivation,” Chris said. “Across the day we will unpack how to become better agents and property managers through the latest insights in psychology, neuroscience, leadership and culture through inspirational stories, shared experiences, bold conversations and moments of wisdom.”
“Bring your team. Meet up with peers. Learn from the best,” said Chris.
Tickets cost just $299 ex GST. More speakers will be announced soon.
