Winning strategies for a more meaningful life shine on stage
At a time when burnout, disillusionment and stress are at chronic levels in the industry, Rise Thrive is taking on the big question currently consuming so many of us in real estate – can we have a highly successful career and still have a life?
Some of the industry’s most inspiring humans will discuss this and other burning topics such as dealing with anger, guilt and anxiety, the challenges of resilience and achieving peak performance by embracing sustainable work, life and relationship habits.
Top performers across both sales and property management will share their experiences and advice including Cathy Baker (Belle Property), Madeline Kennedy and James Redfern (RT Edgar), Drew Ginn (Marshall White), Suzanne Brown (Rentwest), Laura and Sam Shooter (SJ Shooter), Justin Miller (Remax) Emily Sim (Ray White), John Foong (Domain) and Sarah Bell (CoreLogic) – with more to be announced soon.
Topics include introducing a four-day work week into your business, how to lead and serve your community, the challenges of working with your spouse, the mindset of peak performance, becoming a better person and what property management will look like by 2030.
“We’re exceptionally proud of the incredible range of industry speakers we’ve brought together for Rise Thrive because they’re not just sales or property management but a reflection of the entire industry,” said John Cunningham, Rise Initiative president.
“Rise Thrive is a unique event because we talk about the human issues that connect and motivate all of us.
“It’s not GCI and scripts and dialogues and faking it til you make it – it’s about creating careers that are rewarding, lucrative and sustainable and lifestyles that are connected to our families, communities and the people that matter most to us.”
Highlights include hearing from Marshall White’s Drew Ginn, who is a five-time world champion rower and a four-time Olympian and triple Olympic gold medallist who was a member of Australia’s prominent world-class crew – the coxless four known as the Oarsome Foursome. Drew is speaking about how to apply an Olympic mindset to a successful real estate career.
Suzanne Brown from Rentwest will be sharing her experiences of participating in a global trial to introduce a four day work week with her team (you might be surprised at the results!), while Justin Miller from ReMax will engage in a powerful conversation about the ripple effects of words, how language normalises bad behaviour and how we can all be better.
Created by real estate industry professionals, Rise has been THE real estate conference for mental health and wellness since 2019. Since that time it has lived up to its promise of frank conversations, bold ideas and keeping it real.
The Rise Thrive real estate industry speakers are backed up by a seven star lineup of keynote speakers including AFL legend, Wayne Schwass, mental health champion, Mitch Wallis, the Honourable Justice Michael Kirby, Wominjeka woman Shantelle Thompson, top selling author and Australian icon Thomas Keneally and The Streets’ Barber, Nasir Sobhani.
Plus some of the industry’s best coaches – Tanja Lee, Julie Davis and Michael Sheargold – will share the latest techniques for achieving calm and quietening our inner critics.
Rise Thrive will be held at Centrepiece in Melbourne on Tuesday August 29. Tickets are just $395 including GST, or $365 each for a group of 10 or more.
The Rise Initiative is supported through the generosity of Domain, Macquarie, MRI and CoreLogic.
