Rising to the challenge of better performance in real estate
through understanding our mental wellness

The Rise Initiative is a not-for-profit registered charity working to build awareness and education about mental health and wellness in the real estate and property industries. We lead, educate and facilitate mental wellness resources for the real estate profession and their families and exist to promote wellbeing in the real estate profession supporting everyone to grow, succeed, and thrive.

Why do we need to talk about mental health?

We’re all born with a brain, but do you really know how yours works?

The United Nations defines mental health as “a state of wellbeing in which an individual realises his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and is able to make a contribution to his or her community”.

At the Rise Initiative, we love this definition of mental health actually being a sense of wellbeing rather than illness. Our goal is to empower the real estate industry to better cope with the normal stresses of life, help agents and property managers to work more productively and to create a better industry based on thriving, connection and contribution rather than hustle and grind.

When you know what is going on inside your own head, achieving your goals and feeling good becomes so much easier.

Why we
need to act

Over the past six years, the Rise Initiative has been monitoring key benchmarks around the mental health of the real estate industry. The results may surprise you.

Conference Speakers

At the Rise Initiative, we have some great conference presentations for both real estate agents and property managers that explain how our brains work, how they’re impacted by our work and how to ‘hack’ them to feel better and achieve more. It’s a great way to introduce the topic of mental wellness to your teams. We can also recommend some great trainers and coaches whose core material teaches real and practical skills and have some incredible ambassadors whose personal stories provide a deeply human element to any conference.
